I love MNDR, "Feed Me Diamonds" was my jam for a minute and I still drop it from time to time. They have released their video for "Faster Horses" and I love the chorus to this track, I am not big on the verses so I would love to have a dub version of this song but that aside, its a cool little jam. The video plays into a lot of current trends one of them being Bronies, don't know what that is, watch the video then Google it.. lol

Artistic Raw Hits 20,000 Follows Gives Us Free Track

Artistic Raw has always been one of my favorite producers. He releases a lot of creative bootlegs and I appreciate his take on music, so after he hit 20,000 followers on Twitter he gave us a free track. You can download it via Soundcloud or his Facebook! Check it out.

R3hab & David Solano "Do It" SOUNDCLOUD TEASER

Its no big secret I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE R3hab, he could do no wrong in my eyes, then things changed. In late 2011 he started mass producing music, getting so large that every label wanted to use him on their hit records. Suddenly everything he did started sound the same, the signature chainsaw sound was his undoing, for me. This however made him widely popular at one location in particular, Las Vegas. He was part of the Vegas EDM landscape for the entirety of 2012 and still holds residencies there now. He just released a track with David Solano which has been a marriage made in EDM heaven for me. This is just the kind of diverse pairing R3hab needed to spark my interest. Here is a preview of "Do It (Life In Color Anthem 2013)" which has a BEAUTIFUL build up that we werent getting from R3hab as of late. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Lady Bee - Sweet Like Chocolate/Murda Dem - YOUTUBE

So I have really started to lose interest in the Dutch house movement as most of it started to sound the same, it became stale and boring (in my opinion). That entire portion of dance music started out with so much diversity, lots of great bootlegs and inspired so much influence into pop music. The big hits we got from Flo-Rida, Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna etc.. most of that was grounded in Dutch house. Afrojack, Sidney Samson & Chuckie were the big movers and shakers with the iconic Dutch house sound. So I am a little taken back by a unique take on Dutch house with a DJ/producer from Amsterdam named Lady Bee. Here are 2 tracks she is giving us one called "Sweet Like Chocolate" which is a huge nod to the sound that made Afrojack so big, lots of hard drums and catchy reverb synth riffs. The second track "Murda Dem" slows down Dutch house and gives us some Moombahton, which really is just slowed down Dutch house LOL (oh well). I am more of a fan of the first track, as the second doesnt offer up much in the world of innovative Moombahton. Both tracks are solid and I have a feeling if she keeps upping her game we might just hear a lot more from her in 2013.

So I love me some deep house, I love the throwback vibe and a little nod to something we all remember. The Salsoul Orchestra "Love Break" got a remix treatment from Stephan Luke and its got all the elements of a nice fun nu-disco deep house track.You might notice that a certain diva named Madonna sampled a horn segment from this track for the song "Vogue". So what do you think? Hot or not?

Peter Rauhofer has been one of the best dance music producers in the last 20 years (in my opinion, oh and many others LOL). He takes breaks then comes back in a big storm and 2012 was a big storm in terms of him releasing a lot of content. Most recently he released his remix of "Don't You Worry Child" by Swedish House Mafia. I won't say I disliked the original but it clearly wasn't designed for the clubs. So Peter took it and turned it into a certified club hit, here are both the mix & the dub for you guys who prefer instrumentals. He is offering them as free downloads for a limited time, so snag it and thank me later for finding the best big room version of this track LOL

NYC artist Miasha is getting the Rauhofer treatment with the single "Everybodies Beautiful". Peter Rauhofer has been such a huge influence on my music for the last 20 years in all of his various monikers so its great that he can still turn the party! Armand Van Helden - "You Don't Know Me" Dave Silcox Remix FREE DOWNLOAD

Good Monday everybody, after a long hard weekend its time for some new music I have found and sharing with all you guys!

Lets start off the week with a track I have loved since its release, Armand Van Helden's "You Don't Know Me". There wasn't a time during this songs hey-day that you could go to the club and not hear it. This was disco/anthem material at its best, even the Tribal House guys were digging this song. Duane Harden layered this track with vocals that not only preached acceptance but also conveyed emotion that set a path for lots of soul-infused House records with male vocalists we hear today.

Dave Silcox from the UK has taken on this monster and since its original release I had yet to hear a remix that did it justice and brought it into our current world, until now.... This remix is everything that's great about current music and the return of the Nu-Disco sound that I have been talking about for the last couple of months. This track fuses together the current sound of Electro and Disco House in a way that blends the best of both worlds. After posting that little ditty from Jessie Ware earlier this week it got me thinking about some of her other music. She did an amazing cover of the classic "What You Won't Do For Love" by Bobby Caldwell. The original is a chill out NuDisco track but I have found some bootlegs that I want to share with you guys. I will also link the original so you can check it out, probably one of the sickest songs from this past year.

Candi Staton - Hallelujah Anyway - Various Mixes

Its easy in todays EDM world to forget a part of the roots of vocal house were founded in Gospel. Religious or not there is a sense of euphoria in the sweeping uplifting tones and melodies in Gospel music that blend extremely well with House music. Candi Staton who's roots are founded in Gospel hit the disco world with the hit record Young Hearts, Run Free (which came out the year I was born WOW!) has been dancing in and out of the dance music world for decades. Finally back on the forefront she, along with Frankie Knuckles, Larse & Defected records brings us a new anthem for those that miss that throwback vibe in House music.

Hallelujah Anyway offers up soaring vocals with a quiet comfort that can make you feel like the only person on the dancefloor with a flood of people around you. Offered up along with that is a dub that will create a somber mood in the crowd and its great for those afterhours/sunrise/Ibiza inspired pool music sets. Filthy & Famous - Dirty Dutch House A Year MIXED In Review

I want to thank everyone for such a wonderful year with all the support and excitement for what I enjoy doing, DJing. Although I have done my own remixes and reworks over the year I owe a lot of inspiration to the Dutch house producers in 2010.

After hearing some of the great creative sounds these guys brought us in 2010 it actually opened up my mind to other forms of house music I would have otherwise overlooked. This sound was my foundation for the entire year and allowed me to get a big more creative and focus on something that defined me as an artist.

I wanted to give you guys an extra special mixset to end the year with, something to remind you what my foundation is. I created a Dirty Dutch mixset over 2 hours long with lots of the biggest hits, some great new remixes as well as my own reworks. I wanted to make this a podcast but it was just too long to do that.

SPOTLIGHT ON - House Of Fur Series

House Of Fur Volume 1:

I was extremely excited about doing this series of mixes. I have wanted to do something more related to just pure house music without all the frills so I came up with this concept. The first installment of this series I really wanted to create the feeling of being in a smaller club, sweaty bodies, shirts off & lots of heavy dancing. I didnt really have any inspiration from other djs or producers for this mix but I did take from the elements of tribal house as a cherry on top. I knew going into this series I wanted to make this a staple of my podcast, I am glad I took the chance to make this happen.








House Of Fur Volume 2:

So coming into the second volume of this project I wanted to fall away from the tribal elements and go more into soulful house. Lots of great elements of this mix were inspired from 90s house that got me into DJing in the first place. Its hard to believe but when I first started DJing and remixing my biggest inspiration was disco house. I loved the feel of the wavy basslines over the snare and kick drums. I selected the tracks for this mix to create that same tight club feel from the first but expanding into more of a soul vibe than a tribal vibe.

Volume 3 will be coming out in January and I am not sure exactly where it will take me. I am sure the foundation of house will be there but where will I draw inspiration? Electro? Dubstep? Progressive? Speed Garage? LOL who knows.. I guess you will have to stay tuned to see where the House Of Fur travels to next!

What a Summer I had! I had the chance to DJ some of the biggest events of my career and the highlight of this past Summer had to be DJing for Chef Art Smith & Jesus Salgueiro. I was invited by my friend Art to DJ a fantastic afterparty for their wedding in Wash DC right on the Capitol. I did a huge set almost 6 hours of music and got the chance to DJ with internationally known DJ, Moby. It was one of the coolest weekends I have ever had.

This is the final segment from the recorded set and I made sure I put the best content in these mixsets!
